Crazy Hobbies

How can I expand my Microsoft Flight Simulator hobby and make a more cockpit feel?

I really enjoy playing Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s awesome! However, I’d really, really, would like to find materials to add-on so I can try to simulate a more cockpit feel around my computer. Currently, I use a Joystick. So I can upgrade to a yoke. I can also buy rudder pedals and throttles to put next to me. Something like this: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/throttles.html Now, HERE’S MY BIG QUESTION!: I opened up FSX and clicked onto “Learning Center”. I then clicked on “Expanding your hobby”. This is what caught my eye: “If you want to make your desktop seem more like the cockpit of a real airplane, add some hardware. The options range from full desktop consoles with working switches down to the basics: a joystick or a yoke and rudder pedals. You can find these accessories at many computer stores and online.” My questions: 1- What is this hardware and where can I purchase it? 2- What are full desktop consoles with working switches? Thank you

  1. There are many sites where you can purchase control hardware for your PC to make FSX a bit more of a realistic experience...too many to list all here. One I know of is: http://www.fspilotshop.com/ You'll find many more by doing an on-line search for Flight Simulator controls and hardware.
