Crazy Hobbies

Need a Hobby?

I'm a 21 year old female that works full time. I don't have a lot of friends because I'm so shy so it seems like I'm always bored. What are some good hobbies to fill the time (besides scrapbooking and knitting)? Sport teams are not good for me because I'm kind of self conscious and my town doesn't have many clubs (like book clubs). I'm up for any idea!! Thanks!

  1. Rebuild old motorcycles...cars... OR you can build model cars.. helicopters.. etc.. Time consuming, but evolves creativity within self. Hope this helps :-)
  2. Perhaps you could learn to play an instrument? Or you could get into art? Birdwatching? That's all I have.
  3. collect something paint read or start your own book club write a book practice drawing practice music excersice cook- be creative with food volunteer for charities do dog walking get a casual job learn to speak another language take photos- be creative with a camera make something like pottery or sculptures tutor or babysit children think about what you enjoy most and make the most of it
  4. Take up a musical interest, this way so you can perform with other people, or maybe impress a stranger with your talents. It cost money, but luckily you work full time. You can play to relieve stress from work. (totally a last minute suggestion but useful.)
  5. ~ join a bowling league. Meet some new people, get out once a week and have fun.
  6. I use my creativity through Rubber stamps, you can make your own greeting cards, you can make home decor, gifts for people the techniques you can use with rubber stamps are endless.
  7. Make Jewelry. You can even make your own beads from clay (air dry or oven dry) and even from paper mache.
  8. I like to go to craftster.com for inspiration on hobbies to do. The library is also a good place to find things to do locally, I've found many a club, poetry reading & play that way (but if you're in a small town maybe this won't work for you?) Good luck finding something that interests you!
