what is the safest/best area of houston,tx for a family to stay (hobby,galleria, med center,downtown)?

EDIT: by stay i mean on vacation for 7 days.

1. Galleria or North medical center area.
2. Of the four places you mentioned, Hobby is the one that is least safe.
3. I wouldn't stay downtown or near Hobby. The Galleria area isn't bad, nor is right by the Med Center.

5. The Galleria is safe... it is wear all of the wealthy people stay. Also the Woodlands is really safe too...lots of shopping!

7. for me it would be up by Spring in NorthWest Harris county u are not so far away to The Woodlands and if u work around downtown u can take metro its not as bad as u think especial if u live up here in the north side its not so Getto
8. well of all the places I wouldn't stay near Hobby- even though its near the aiport- but the Galleria isnt to sharp either due to high crime. Dang.. doesn't matter where one mentions, one will out weigh the other. Go downtown, this way your at a midway point to the Galleria,medcenter and Hobby.
