- charity work/volunteerism.....kwanis, boyscouts, local hospital....
- bike riding-thats always fun. Volunteer at other places...like a the above said a hospital or something. You can create stuff....like get wood and try to make a cool chair or something.
- Why don't you go to the local crafts store, and peruse the books and classes offered. There's tons of stuff, and not all of it's "girly." Consider taking up knitting. Don't laugh. It's very hot right now, and a great way to meet girls. Also, take dance lessons. Girls go crazy for a guy who can dance.
- reading, drawing, crocheting/knitting(hot now even on college campuses for both males and females), martial arts, swimming (i know both of the last ones are sports but they do not have to be competitive but are both good for stress relievers and good health), and try visiting a local craft or hobby shop or convention for more ideas
- Making stained glass windows, or some kind of woodwork would be a fun thing to get into. Guys do scrapbooking too if you are into photos - or just get into photography - that's a really great hobby and you don't need to have a fancy camera to get started just learn to use all the features and functions on the one you have. Or you could write, or get into some kind of art - painting, pottery, sculpture, drawing, mixed media ...... My best recommendation though would be rock climbing. You can get started at an indoor rock wall. If you live in or near a reasonable sized town/city you may have a dedicated climbing wall, or if not look for one that is part of your local gym or recreation center or YMCA. Once you learn the basic skill you can do outdoor climbing if you want. It is not a 'team sport' and does not have to be a competitive sport - or at least, the only one you compete against is yourself. And it gets to be quite social , and has lots of 'hanging out' time involved!!
- If you like painting, that can keep you occupied all day long. Painting is also good for your mind, body and soul where you try to bring the beauty of nature onto paper. If you have the musical pulse in you, you can start to learn a musical instrument, like the guitar, piano etc. Music is also good for your mind, body and soul. Since sports do not work for you any more, work on the musical side of your talent.
