Any suggestions on what hobbies to pick up?
My friend and I want to pick up a new hobbie but we dont know what we want to do. We had ideas just as scrapbooking, learn a new language etc.. I want to hear what hobbies you guys are into, or any ideas maybe my friend and I will pick it up too. Forgot to mention that we would like ideas that are not physical.

- I like to make things with polymer clay.
- My boyfriend and I took a french class together, that was really fun. Also might I suggest a cooking class, or flower arranging? These all seemed to be very popular classes at the college here. Another one I would like to try is photography. I love taking pictures and to learn how to make the most of them would be great, then you would have something really nice to scrapbook! :)
- You know taking some type of art class can be fun and relaxing. In my opionion, (I think I spelt that wrong. sorry) taking another language is harder. You will have homework, and you always have to study. With art you can go into the class and leave it with no worries about a paper dued.
- watching movies! I love to just watch classics or anything that I didn't get to see in theaters Also i skateboard, graffiti:you don't have to tag others property, photosho:graphic designing, art is a great way to express yourself.
- A hobby which makes you a little busy in your place is to plant flowers/plants/vegetables... if your home area is wide enough to accommodate or if it's not... you can squeeze and use hanging flower pots.
- It really depends on how old you are and your interests. Often there are all kinds of informal classes available if you seek them out - oil painting, photography, creative writing, sewing, ham radio, flower arrangement, interior decorating, etc. Start a book discussion club or learn to play bridge. Check the community events section of your local newspaper and you might see something that interests you. Most important - have fun!
- how bout' dancing?its great anyway!u can learn different kinds of moves. >.<
- I build guitars out of cigar boxes. No it is not like some crappy thing a 5 year old would make. Check out this site, it is very good. cigarboxguitars.com
- wellll.........i like swiming a LOT!!
- I picked up a set of knifty knitter looms when I was pregnant and haven't put them down. It is a good hobby because you can take it with you traveling, doctors office, etc. and you can always pick up where you left off. You can make a lot more than you would expect on the round looms and you can do it in half the time as needle knitting!
- Build model rockets,I did that as a teen. It was fun to make them and watch as they streaked skyward.
- I love to crochet.cross stitch and latch hook.
- making clothes or cushions i did that kinda fun and also making sculptures is pretty fun and painting and drawing or u could help save water :P
- Pick up a couple of packages of polymer clay and an instruction/project booklet from the craft store and try making a few things. Until it is baked, the clay is forgiving so you can take apart anything you aren't happy with and start over. This medium can be very addicting!
