  1. You are a hobby junkie and need to get your fix or will feel on a downer. Perhaps try slowly weaning yourself off some of your habit and try to meditate instead
  2. I used to constantly start & stop interests, hobbies, jobs, etc.. I certainly changed as years went by! Now, I do the same thing almost all the time! LOL! I think sometimes when we are happy - we are interested in so many different things! You may have ADD or something though - just a thought after dealing with my ADHD husband all these years?
  3. my girlfriends grandpa he is always starting thing that we either end up working on or it dies and he is on to another venture just comes with age I guess
  4. I am almost exactly like that. I had/have so many things going on at one time, I was about to loose it. Then last year I finally got a patent search done on one of my invention ideas. This helped me to put things into perspective. Within a few months I will be meeting with my first potential investor. I would suggest you take one of your ideas and run with it- whether it is creative, invention, art, or whatever. Keep several large notebooks or sketchbooks near you so each idea has it's own. Carry a small tape recorder with you for notes that you don't have time to write down. I believe you are going through a 'creative burst' period. To help you sleep, try melatonin an hour before bedtime. Work a crossword puzzle until you're sleepy. Avoid getting less than 8 or 9 hours sleep. Stay away from caffeine after 4pm. An hour before bedtime, turn off bright lights and the TV (ouch). Good luck!
  5. WHY ?? I'd leave THAT to a psychologist !! Just the same, I understand. Some projects get put on hold because of weather, finances, material-availability, or a mental road-block... others just due to a lack of interest or CHANGE of interest. I have dozens of projects in mid-work, both at home and up at my brother's ranch. At the ranch, alot of things were on hold during the winter weather (roofing, fencing, irrigation-lines)... but we'd sketch on paper and the computer, and talk talk talk over beers. At HOME, I have a model railroad in it's 3rd Year of construction, and about 75 model airplanes in production. Some awaiting the right humidity to start airbrushing again, others awaiting aftermarket parts. I DO like the one respondent who mentioned ORGANIZATION... a sketch / draft pad for taking notes and adding new ideas. I have BINDERS for many of my projects, and also have moved alot to my computers (desk & laptop) so I can share with my brother. GOOD LUCK!!
  6. Your hobbies and interests are numerous!! but you will eventually hit on the one that will keep you entertained. My former son in law wanted to clean out his mom's and my daughter's crafts rooms! He wanted to toss out all the stuff they had stashed. I really think he wanted to get into mine too! We all have every needle art known to creativity and substantial amounts of supplies and books to do them. I am down now to doing only spinning and weaving and writing a blog about the how-tos of it and my successes and defeats! But I still maintain my other "collections" and won't get rid of any of them. One of these days I will finish the 3 quilts, unknown number of embroidery projects, get the kitchen remodled, the floors sanded down, the cover on my patio, etc. We must all try as many projects as our minds can handle!! Only this way is creativity satisfied. You are three quarters there on numerous projects. We only have a projected 100 years to get all these things done!
