How much does Michaels or Hobby Lobby typically charge just to matte a picture?
Are the prices reasonable? And has anyone had good or bad expierences with dealing with these places?? I just want some pictures matted with a plain black matte. I would just like to get some things matted. Not framed. Just wondering what kind of prices I should be looking at here.

- They tend to be a bit over priced, in my experience. Since all you want to do is mat your pictures, may I suggest doing it yourself? It will be a fraction of the cost, and look just as good. There are fancy tools to help you, but all you really need is a pencil, straight edge (at least as long as your image), and an Xacto. You can buy sheets of mat boards at Hobby Lobby. Just cut it to the dimensions you need, cut out the middle to show off your pictures (this is the tricky bit) and you're good.
