Crazy Hobbies
My mom is on a career job out of town what should my dad do?
He usually goes fishing but cannot stand the cold during the winter months. He is not very good with people, gets nervous around them, not very social. He likes to drink but worries that his wife thinks that he is doing something so refuses to go anywhere. Doesn't have much of a life outside of home. He likes to play games on the computer but does not enjoy sports of any type, including watching them. He likes to keep busy but during the winter and cold months he does not like to be outside. He is run by a small budget so cannot afford anything that costs so much it takes away from his family. What should he do to keep busy and have fun? I think he needs a hobby and soon before he annoys me to the point of kicking him out.

- Go to the hobby store, and find something that you think your Dad would like to do, and start him on it. If he likes to fish, maybe he would like to make his own flies. Building models, of cars,planes, trains, what ever there is. Get him some hand held games. There are several of those out there, that would keep him busy. He could buy a new one once a month, and not get bored with playing the same one. Buy him some books on different things, so he could chose something to do.
- Go join the VFW or the Moose Lodge.. they have games of all kinds.. cards, dominoes.. he needs to go to activities and get out of the house.. check it our.. or go to church and meet people.. good luck
