What is the proper attire to attend a musical downtown?
We are going to see "Wicked" next week. I have no clue if people dress REALLY nice like they do for operas or the symphony....or just church nice. Any opinions?? The musical is in downtown houston at the hobby center.

- Glitter nice!
- just wear what is comfortable. screw what is expected... save yourself a dry cleaning bill and go in your addiddas
- The dress for attending musicals has greatly relaxed in recent years. While it is perfectly acceptable for people to attend wearing ratty jeans and a t-shirt or hoodie (and you will see a LOT of people dressed this way for Wicked - it's a show aimed to youths), it is more respectful to the actors if you dress in "church nice" clothing (nice slacks or a skirt and a button up shirt or blouse). Just make sure you'll be reasonably comfortable while you're there - the whole point is to enjoy yourself! Have fun :)
- Wear what ever is comfortable for you.
- I would dress nice(like church nice), but not rent a tux. . If you know anyone else attending ask what they are planning to wear. Just don't dress as you would for a sporting event, as I'm sure you're aware. Enjoy the event. Wish I could go see it too.
- A tire made by Firestone.
- YOu can wear whatever you want. Dress up if you want or just wear what you would when you go out to a movie or dinner
