Crazy Hobbies
Do you have a hobby or an interest or side of your personality that makes people believe that you act younger?
I'm 24, I still have similar interest that I had in my preteens and teens but I look at those interests differently now, and I believe I've matured in the past 4-6 years or so. But my older sister still sees me as a teen because of my interests in celebs. At least I don't look at them as gods or anything but I still get interested in the latest music, tv shows, movies, etc. and I'm just looked at as a teeny bopper, I have done some responsible stuff in my adult years such as finishing high school and college, I do live a sheltered life, especially in the southern rural town I reside in. Our parents did shelter us a bit. I haven't had all the experiences that people my age have here. I know one high school friend who got married at age 18 or 19, had a son, and her husband left her before she turned 24! I'm sorry, I wasn't ready to marry at 21 or whatever (she's supportive of that but in my town I feel like I'm judged for being so different). Also she complains that I have outbursts like a teen. I can't help I live in a frustrating world. I haven't had really anytime to myself, my first experience being on my own was a year at a university that I hated (back when I was 18 and 19) so I didn't stay and went to a community college instead. I haven't been able to save money to move out due to employment issues and I've done what I can :( I'm sick of having a family who sees me as immature.

- Well stand up and make some changes.You have a good head on your shoulders and much better than most people on here. Ive been here for a short time now and watch you ask about things and comment about things that the teens hardly understand. Why not at dinner start asking your family some of these things and see if they have the answer and when they dint you can fill them in. Maybe you need to get out of the hose more. if you dint have a job and are sitting around you could volunteer at the town hospital or rest home. (not sure what you have there) There are lots of places that need nice people like you to help out. This could help you land a job with one of these places or someone you come across there.Welcome to the GRIND ...You will always have an interest in movie stars and there lives and its not an age thing. Look at Liz Taylor...Ive kept up with her for years. My mom looked a lot like her. You have to get older BUT YOU DO NT HAVE T0 GROW UP !!!!! I build show cars and winners at that. I happy driving Corvettes and Ferraris and my Harley....I'm not going to grow up eather. Guess I got long winded SORRY
- I feel you have the right to be yourself. You are not your sister and she is not you. I am 60 and I attend sports functions from grammar school to college. I am always being asked by people who do not know me if I have a son or daughter on the team. I say no I just enjoy watching sports and like to support young girls especially in playing sports. My college sports friends says they wish their Mom acted like me. The Moms and Dads of these friends love me because i support their sons and daughters and consider me their friend. We keep in touch by phone and email. I love having this wonderful passion combined with photography. One of my sport photos was published on the web. Age has no barriers, unless we let other people dictate what we do in life. I have never done that and I am happy with my life. Hope this helps you. You have a lot of life left to live it and do it on your own time schedule. Do not feel pressured by society rules. Rules are meant to be broken, laws are not. Be yourself and you will have a happy, self-fufilled life
